Grafton CWA Branch

The meeting held in the CWA rooms on February 11 saw 18 members in attendance and two apologies were received.

The months of February and March will be a very busy time for our members with North Coast group council meeting at Yamba on Wednesday February 23 and North Coast Group Land Cookery and Handicraft Day at Glenreagh on Wednesday March 2, for which members will be submitting cooking and beautiful handicraft articles.

On Saturday March 5 and Sunday March 6, CWA members will be catering for Native Beekeepers with morning tea and lunches.

Following the CWA March 11 meeting, International Day lunch will be held in CWA rooms, county of study is presently Malaysia, with recipes chosen by members for which recipe to cook or prepare to bring and served for the members.

Congratulations were extended to Mr Robert McFarlane who received O.A.M on Australia Day for his ongoing dedication for many years to his local community. A congratulation card from Grafton branch members has been sent on behalf of CWA members.

Next meeting will be held March 11, followed by International Lunch. Morning tea will be served at 9.30am, meeting to commence at 10am. Any ladies who wish to join us will be made most welcome.

Handicraft morning will be February 14, and February 28, any ladies wishing to join us bring your handicraft item and have a chat and a cuppa.
