Grafton CWA

Members of Grafton CWA have just enjoyed a visit to Grafton Regional Gallery, where we saw the Dobell Drawing exhibition.

There were many interesting artworks, including the winning drawing by Jane Grealy. We then went on to Memorial Park to view the CWA sundial, which is now in a new position near the Waterfront Precinct. The sundial was presented to the City of Grafton by the Country Women’s Association Grafton Branch on the occasion of their Diamond Jubilee, September 1986. We then had a delicious lunch at the Crown Hotel, where we sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful view of the river and had time to catch up with news.

The next meeting of Grafton CWA will be on Friday February 9, starting with morning tea at 9.30am and followed by the meeting at 10am. New members are always welcome – if you are new to the area, why not come along to make some new friends, or if you have been thinking about joining, come along and see what we do. The meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of each month, in the CWA rooms, cnr Duke and Pound Streets. Craft mornings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 9.30am, starting on February 12 then February 26.
