Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Paul Toole and Member for Clarence Chris Gulaptis were given the rare opportunity to go inside the tunnel underneath the new Grafton Bridge. 

The tunnel runs inside the 176 segments throughout the entire length of the bridge for maintenance purposes (eg conduit for Essential Energy as well as fibre-optic cabling, pipes, etc).   

The tunnel is not accessible to the public and is only for maintenance access and has been built to last 100 years.
