Funding to restore War Memorials

Communities needing to maintain or repair their war memorials can apply for up to $10,000 in funding from the latest round of the Community War Memorials Fund.

Appropriately, the latest funding round opened on Anzac Day, a time when we gather at war memorials to honour those who serve in wars and peacekeeping missions.

Community groups can apply for up to $10,000 to assist with conservation, specialist cleaning and repairs of local memorials including honour rolls.

In the previous funding round, Richmond Valley Council was awarded $10,000 for conservation work to two First World War honour rolls at the Woodburn Memorial Hall which were damaged in the 2022 floods.

To be eligible for the funding, the memorial must be listed on the NSW War Memorials register.

Applications close on July 25, with more information available at www.veterans.nsw.gov.au
