A major business investment in Grafton which will create up to three new jobs will be initiated with the construction of a new state-of-the-art carwash.

The Brewhouse Group is building the infrastructure worth $500000 at its North Street complex.

It will be the only car wash on the city’s north side.

General Manager, Jamie Firth, said it will provide a much-needed service and operate from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday and 9am to 8pm on Sundays.

“Our carwash is a brand-new soft touch or touchless technology which is much quieter than those already in operation and dries the car before exiting,” Mr Firth said.

“It will thoroughly clean vehicles while minimising the electricity and chemicals used and recycle 85 percent of the water, eliminating the amount of waste back into council’s sewerage system.

“Not only is it a great environmental outcome but it will also provide much-needed employment opportunities for Grafton.”

The carwash is expected to be completed and ready for use in late May.

The Brewhouse Group has a number of other business opportunities it is planning to bring to the region that will provide ongoing employment and provide a range of new services to the area.
