Congratulations to all swimmers who competed in the NSW Branch swimming carnival held at Port Macquarie on the November 5 attended by eight members, swimming a total of 28 individual events and one relay.
Helmut also won silver in his age group in the 2.5km ocean swim at Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast in challenging conditions
A particular shout out to Helmut Klein for his amazing results in the Nationals, Port Macquarie and the Pan Pacs.
Age champions in Port Macquarie were:
65 to 70yrs – Bobbie Winger 1st
60 to 65yrs – Jane Lawrence 2nd
70 to 75yrs – Leonie Daley 3rd
70 to 75yrs – Dubbo Lawrence 3rd
65 to 70yrs – Mick Bleach 5th
60 to 65yrs – Karen Campbell 6th
65 to 70yrs – Chris Bleach 8th
80 to 85yrs Helmut Klein 3rd
Relay team: Mick, Dubbo, Jane and Leonie won their age division.
Last training sessions for the year is Saturday December 17 at Yamba Pool and to recommence on Saturday January 7.
