Check your moorings

Ed,

If you own or know somebody who owns a marine vessel moored / anchored in the Clarence River around Grafton, the Clarence Valley State Emergency Service are asking the owners to please check on the security and stability of these moorings.

Over the past few years, the Grafton City unit has been called to recover vessels that have broken away and drifted down stream due to very strong westerly winds, the Grafton City SES cannot guarantee they can reach or secure your boat before it is damaged or collides into someone else’s boat or property which you may be held liable for.

It’s around this time of year in August that high winds become a problem for these vessels
