Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from this week on Weir Road at Lawrence for safety improvement works to be carried out.
Work to allow for safer and easier turning movements for heavy vehicles includes site establishment on the western side of the new Sportsmans Creek Bridge, asphalting, improved line marking, signage and landscaping.
Work commenced on Monday (February 4) and will be carried out from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, and is expected to take around two months to complete, weather permitting.
There will be some noise associated with the work, but every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents.
There will be minimal impact to traffic during these works. Speed restrictions will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
