Clarence Valley country music icon and proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man Troy Cassar-Daley has received three nominations at the 2024 Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Music Awards.

Cassar-Daley, who has previously won five ARIA Music Awards, has been nominated in three categories including Best Solo Artist, Best Country Album, and Best Cover Art, following the release of his most recent studio album Between The Fires in May.

Sharing his excitement and appreciation with his thousands of followers on social media last week after the nominees were announced on September 27, Cassar-Daley said his past wins at the ARIA Music Awards all marked occasions in his life that are very memorable before revealing he felt super proud to receive a nomination for Best Solo Artist this year.

His most personal album to date, Between The Fires is an epic masterpiece which encapsulates love and loss, the spiritual connection to country, and his determined resolution to find the light once more following the sad passing of his beloved mother Irene Daley in 2023.

In his Facebook post, Cassar-Daley also acknowledged Sony Music Australia, Michael McCartin, and Michael Bryers for their contributions to Between The Fires, and extended his congratulations to his fellow nominees.

A celebration of the best Australian music to be released within the past 12 months, the 2024 ARIA Music Awards will be held at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on November 20.
