Inquiries are continuing following a single vehicle crash which occurred near a coastal village in the Clarence Valley last week.
Around 12pm on Friday, September 20, emergency services were called to Brooms Head Road at Taloumbi, about 11km north-west of Brooms Head, following reports of a single vehicle crash.
Officers attached to the Coffs/Clarence Police District were informed that a grey Holden hatchback left the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver, a 52-year-old woman, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene for head, chest, and leg injuries before she was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers attached to the Coffs/Clarence Police District are continuing with their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
