Carnival racing ahead

Following an unfortunate cancellation last year, the 2021 Grafton Greyhound Racing Club’s July Racing Carnival is going ahead as planned.

Race meetings will be held on June 28 and 30, and on July 2, 5, 7 and 9.

It will be the first time the club has hosted its premier annual event following a significant $4.6 million upgrade at the popular racing facility.

Grafton Greyhound Club President John Corrigan said more than 30 races have already been run on the new track surface, with several trainers already offering positive feedback to the club.

Mr Corrigan also revealed he is confident the club’s 2021 July Racing Carnival will progress as planned with several trainers from Geelong, Orange and Bathurst already in Grafton for the event.

“Everyone has been happy with the state of the track and we’re all looking forward to a good carnival,” he said.
