Breanna Robertson: Junior Sportsperson of the Month for August

After competing in five gruelling rounds of the NSW State Series at Manly on September 4, Clarence Valley BMX Club rider Breanna Robertson has finished first overall in the 15 BMX Girls and fourth in the 15-16 Cruiser Girls.

Earlier in the year she was sixth at the Oceania Championships in the 17-24 Cruiser Women and won the South East Queensland Shootout round in the 15-16 Cruiser Girls.

For her achievements, the 15-year-old joins her older sister Taleha, 17, as the Junior Sportsperson of the Month.

Taleha finished on top in both the 17-24 Women’s Cruiser and BMX division at the State Series, adding to win at the South East Queensland Shootout round, and second placings at Oceania Championships and a National State Round.

Both girls are primed for the NSW Championships at Macarthur on the October Long Weekend, but first the Grafton High students are heading to Sydney this week for NSW CHS Athletics which will be held between September 7 and 9.
