Back to the Hill for Round 3

Forty eight entrants will participate in Round 3 of the 2015 Grafton Sporting Car Club Hillclimb Series set down for this Sunday 9th August commencing at 9.30am.
Ten classes will be contested ranging from the road registered through to the open wheeled race cars with a large variety of vehicles in between. These vehicles will provide spectators with an entertaining day of free motor sport.
Classes 6 will make up 13 of the 48 entrants. One lone Jaguar will take on the might of the Generals lions in the form of Commodores and Torana’s. Phil Moran is the odd man out driving the Mk2 family Jaguar. Phil will be up against regular drivers in the form of father and son team of Peter & Harry Everett, Hughes Family Racing (HRT), Simon McDonald and not forgetting the Kelly boys.
Class 5 3J club cars will be a hard fought win between all drivers. Not to be forgotten Liam Rolfe (Daihatsu Charade), Jeff Warbrick (Toyota AE86) and Sonya & Brock Wilson (Toyota MR2).
Canteen co-ordinator Ryan McSwan will be pulling double duty (yes it can be done!) in Class 8 Sports Sedans. He will be racing his ever improving 1978 Holden Torana LX. Ryan will compete against Brock Beadman (Nissan 350z) and the consistent performer of Nick Contojohn (Subaru WRX).
Class 9 Formula Libre up to 2000cc will see the Quelch brothers of David & Jack sharing the drive in the Black Arrow Honda taking on Daryl Watt in his Westfield Clubman. Miles Hoare (Formula Renault) and Greg Saunders (GMB Clubman) will also contest this class.
Fronting the starter for Class 12 Special Vehicles will be Steve Griffiths ( Datsun 120y) taking on father and son combination of Lee and Blake Gorton (Nissan Skyline) along with Mark Boxshall (Mitsubishi), not to be forgotten John Kelly (Subaru WRX) and Rob Beadman (Nissan Silvia)
