When the Grafton Chamber of Commerce was announced as the winner in the Outstanding Local Chamber category during the virtual ceremony of the 2021 NSW Business Awards last month, amidst the ecstatic celebrations and calls of congratulations that followed, there was one thing missing – the winner’s trophy.

But the Grafton Chamber of Commerce didn’t have to wait long to receive it.

During her visit to the Clarence Valley on November 4, Regional Manager of the NSW Business Chamber Jane Laverty presented the award to President of the Grafton Chamber of Commerce Carol Pachos during a small ceremony at the Grafton Regional Gallery.

“It’s a testimony to the whole executive team that have worked so hard,” Ms Pachos said as she graciously accepted the award.

“It’s pretty special.”

Ms Laverty acknowledged the Grafton Chamber of Commerce as a worthy recipient and complimented them for their continual progress while increasing their membership numbers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The award is a fantastic recognition for all their hard work,” she said.
