Award-winning Jacaranda Park to get improvements to parking

Stage 2 of the award-winning Jacaranda Park will soon be underway. The works will include improved parking and footpath access to the playscape and will complete the amenities.

Peter Birch, Manager for Open Spaces and Facilities at Clarence Valley Council said, “Jacaranda Park is an inclusive playscape. Can I get there? Can I play? Can I stay? were our main objectives when planning the park.”
“Stage 2 of the development will see improvements to access off Hoof Street. New picnic tables and shelters will create a more comfortable experience for the community.”
“Jacaranda Park is currently leading the way in terms of inclusive playscapes design. It offers the opportunity for all carers and children to meet and socialize in a safe and interactive space,” said Mr Birch.
The implementation of the Everyone Can Play Guidelines is being rolled out across the Clarence Valley by Council with the aim of creating more inclusive playscapes in all our towns and villages, spaces that include everyone in the community and enable everyone to play regardless of their age, ability, or cultural background.
