Art honour for young Maclean student

Anushka Ram attends Maclean Public School in Year 5. Anushka has a talent for drawing and painting and was able to create a prize-winning entry for the Reconciliation Art competition.

Anushka’s painting reflects this year’s theme ‘From River to Sea: Our Island Home’. Her inspirational artwork titled ‘My Home, My Love’, was one of 650 entries from 38 schools across NSW and ACT. The competition aims to inspire, support and educate the people of NSW to engage in reconciliation for all Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and other Australians in NSW.

Anushka’s artwork will be included in the launch event at the Australian Museum and will be exhibited in various locations around the state including International Towers, Barangaroo and NSW Parliament House before joining the National Trust Regional Tour.
