An ‘Aussie’ Day on the river with friends

Members of the Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club and the Grafton Dragon Boat Club came together amidst perfect conditions on the Clarence River during Australia Day.

Crews assembled at the Brushgrove boat ramp at 7:30am, and there was plenty of laughter as friends reunited once again.

After completing a training program designed to refine paddling techniques after an extended Christmas break, crews enjoyed participating in mock races over 30 seconds.

The banter and competitive nature of some ensured lots of laughs were had by all.

Both clubs would like to extend a huge thank you to the Brushgrove Pub who served a great breakfast and coffee to 38 hungry people.

The clubs also welcome new arrivals to the Clarence Valley to come and join them.
