Amanda Barwick scores an eagle on 15th

Last Wednesday we celebrated St. Patricks Day with an Irish 4BBB on a composite course due to the condition of the course.

Our sponsor for the day was Lifestyle Comforts and Home Aids Maclean which is owned by John and Tina Hogg. We thank them for their very generous support and remember if you need anything in this line go along to the store in Stanley Street, Maclean and John will certainly be able to help.

The absolute highlight of the day was Amanda Barwick’s great eagle on the Par 4 15th hole. Amanda is one of our longest hitters and after her drive had about 110 metres to the pin. The 15th is a tricky hole with dams on both left and right and bunkers also protecting the right hand side of the green so Amanda’s second shot was fantastic and sailed  straight into the hole. Captain Helen presented Amanda with her Eagle badge and congratulated her on her rare achievement.

The winners of the day were Amanda Barwick, Helen Graney, Edith Piddington and Kerry Cooke with 86 points and the runners-up were Sandra Youlten, Molly Plunkett, Kim Moore and Cathy Ayres on 83 points.

Club balls went to Vero, Pat, Hennie & Chris F and Helen Mc, Sheree, Cathie P and Liama.  NTP’s  Overall 2nd Molly Plunkett and 17th Edith Piddington.

This week weather permitting we will play a Stroke Event with Div 1 off the 1st Tee and Div 2 off the 10th.  If you wish to play please book online or call the pro-shop.
