50 years with CWA

Iluka CWA President Marcia Hunter was celebrated last week for an amazing 50 years as a member of the Country Women’s Association.

A surprised Mrs Hunter was greeted by 30 friends and family who came together to celebrate this fantastic milestone at the Iluka CWA rooms.

Clarence Valley Councillor Karen Toms presented Ms Hunter with a certificate from the Country Women’s Association along with a 50 year long service badge and her second long service bar.

Mrs Hunter was also presented with a stunning floral arrangement and cut a beautiful cake made to celebrate her achievements.

The Iluka Public School welcomed CWA members to their CWA International Day celebrating the country of France, where Mrs Hunter’s 50-year milestone was recognised.

Mrs Hunter was also a pioneer of the Iluka Public School canteen, along with many other volunteer community roles, for which she was honoured by the school’s Principal, Phil Bradmore.
