The team at Connect You Too (Connectu2) has been helping the community get out and about during the COVID lockdowns of July and August 2021. It has been great assisting our customers get to their important appointments or just do their shopping.

During the months of July and August 2021, we carried out 3279 trips with a total of 155,785kms. Our popular destinations included 81 trips to Ballina; 159 trips to Coffs Harbour; 29 trips to the Gold Coast; 1076 trips to Grafton; 311 trips to Lismore and 535 trips to the Yamba/Maclean area.

Even in these hard times, we still managed to get the community to 534 specialist appointments; 384 hospital visits (day surgery drop off/pick-up); 437 GP appointments; 24 dentist appointments & 841 shopping trips.

Unfortunately, Connectu2 had to cancel their planned social trips during these months, but we look forward to them coming back as soon as the lockdown is eased.

We also look forward to the lockdown finishing so our Airport Shuttle can resume its normal pre-paid service.

The Meals on Wheels service based in Iluka delivered 1534 meals and 530 desserts during the months of July and August 2021. We were able to do welfare checks, have a quick chat and help our customers see a friendly face (even with our masks on).
