An investigation is underway, and police are appealing for information after a teenage boy died after being stabbed at Corindi Beach on Sunday afternoon.
When emergency services responded to Pacific Street, Corindi Beach about 5.40 pm on Sunday, August 13, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering a stab wound to his thigh.
Coffs Clarence Police District officers rendered first aid to the boy until paramedics arrived and he was taken 26km to the Coffs Harbour Health Campus, where he died shortly after.
A crime scene was established, and Coffs Clarence Police District Detectives are being assisted by officers from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad in the investigation under Strike Force Cored.
As inquiries into the incident continue, officers spoke to a number of people at the scene while canvassing the area and are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
