Emma Pritchard

The Lawrence Golf and Sports Club are inviting Clarence Valley residents to attend a benefit day on October 23 in support of the Lawrence SES and RFS.

Professional and amateur golfers are welcome to come along and tee off for a round at the 9-hole golf course.

A special prize will be awarded to the golfer who records the longest drive.

The benefit day will also include raffles, lucky draw prizes, and a free sausage sizzle for lunch.

Kerri Robinson, Secretary of the Lawrence Golf and Sports Club is looking forward to welcoming a large crowd on the weekend and is encouraging families to come along and experience what the club has to offer.

She said the benefit day is a great way of bringing the community together in support of local emergency responders.

The benefit day is proudly sponsored by local businesses including the Lawrence Tavern, Lawrence General Store, SPAR Supermarket, and Maclean Variety Meats.

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased from the sponsors.

Golfers are invited to register early by contacting Ms Robinson on 0403 259 094 or signing up upon arrival.

The first round will commence at 8am, with the final to conclude by 1pm.
