Popular vox pop

Ed,

A great idea for our local paper to publish a weekly ‘vox pop’ in the lead-up to our Local Government Election on Saturday, December 4.

Our Federal political luminaries are jetting across the world to save the world for our children and grandchildren. Last week’s Independent shows there is much public interest in the effects of mining in the Clarence catchment and interest in a feature: “Bom Bom State Forest  Something to be trashed or treasured?”

So what importance do our Clarence Valley Council candidates place on clean AIR, unpolluted WATER, uncontaminated SOIL and SPECIES DIVERSITY, for the decisions they take when they are elected will certainly effect the quality of the world all our children inherit from the decision makers we choose to elect?

Breathe safely.
