What a great day on the golf course for our September Monthly Medal. We had a few players away touring and another couple recuperating from surgery, but we still made the numbers for a challenging event.
Ken Lillie won the day with a splendid nett 32 in what may be his last game before shoulder surgery; second was George Key with 33.5 and our perpetual placegetter Ray Stevens in third with 35.5.
Mr consistency Bruce Douglass was the best putter on the day with 14 puts for the nine holes.
Ken Lillie had his name on the card for all three NTPs but was just beaten on the 10th by Kevin Moran. On the 12th Ken put his second shot in the hole and was closest again on the 17th.
Daylight saving will have us up a little earlier for our next round, so don’t forget to be at the course ready to play before 7.30am.
