Local performers from across the Clarence Valley are eagerly looking forward to putting their individual and unique talents on show during a home-grown music festival.
Organised by Maclean teenager Nash Crofton, Clarence Tunes aims to provide young and emerging artists with an opportunity to perform on stage in front of a live audience and gain valuable experience as they launch their careers.
Nash said he was motivated to organise Clarence Tunes to help support the live music industry and he is encouraging the community to get behind the festival.
Hopeful of seeing a good turnout on the weekend, Nash also spoke of his optimism of seeing Clarence Tunes become an annual event.
“That would just be amazing,” he said.
“We need to do what we can to help support our local performers.
“They’re a great group of people and I’m really happy so many agreed to be a part of Clarence Tunes.”
Tatiana Grace, Zion Edgar, ZAM, Olivia Hinde, Jorja White and The Enns of the Earth are all confirmed to perform on Saturday night.
Clarence Tunes will be held at the Maclean Showground on February 26 from 5pm.
Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased online at www.clarencetunes.com.au.
Attendees can also purchase tickets on arrival for $12.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the local performers.
