A mobile COVID-19 vaccination van will be travelling around the Northern Rivers to make it even easier for people to get vaccinated.
The newly kitted-out van will visit Goonellabah, Casino, West Ballina, Banora Point and South Grafton over the coming two weeks.
Acting Chief Executive, Northern NSW Local Health District, Matt Long/ Lynne Weir said the walk-in outreach vaccination clinics make it easier for people to access Pfizer vaccinations, whether it be first, second or third doses.
The clinic will offer Pfizer vaccines for people aged 12 years and over, as well as paediatric Pfizer vaccinations for children aged 5-11 years.
“We’ve been working with community housing providers and local councils to identify accessible locations that are convenient to walk to and highly visible to the community,” Mr Long said.
“We are encouraging people who haven’t had the opportunity to get to another clinic or their GP, to please come and see our mobile team.
“You don’t need to book, just turn up and get vaccinated.”
