After missing the Thursday before because of the very rainy day, it was very good to be back on the court again in the cool, and sunny morning last week.
It was great to have Sallie back filling-in for Chris on Donovan’s team which she did very well as they had a win, (36 games, 6 sets) against Harrington’s team, who did not play all that badly but could not seem to win a set, and only (16 games), but lots of juices. In the other match McAulay’s team (31 games, 4 sets) had close sets with Woodrow’s team (24 games, 2 sets). Jenny G won the lovely meat tray in the raffle.
The teams to play this Thursday October 6 will be Donovan’s and Neill’s team and in the other match Harrington’s are against Woodrow’s team. McAulay’s are on the bye and Harrington’s team will be the duty team. After this competition has finished mid November, there will still be opportunities to play social tennis on a Tuesday or Thursday morning.
