Week ending July 11.

A mixed bag of weather this week with all competitions proceeding.

The Wednesday Chook Run was won by Max Withnell (nett 31) defeating Terry Mitchell (nett 35).

Drive and Pitch on the 4th was won by Peter Jones with Rodney Want in the clubhouse with least putts (11).

The Saturday ladies were greeted by gale force winds with Bev Ensbey prevailing on a c/b from Shirley Williams (nett 43).

Nearest the pin was Pat Harris with Lisa Sharpe coming home with least putts (12).

The chip in from the bunker by Shirley Williams on the first a highlight while the course greens committee are in review of damage to an out of bounds marker being shattered by an unnamed person. Evidently the marker keeping the ball in play when accidently hit.

A similarly windy Sunday greeted the men’s event which was a Stableford sponsored by Stanford’s Pharmacy Maclean. The 9 hole event was won by Ryan Hubbard (17 points) from Arthur King (16 points).

The 18 hole event was taken out by Theo Sheppard on a c/b from Tom Mammen (37 points).

Nearest the pin went to Arnold Boon (4th) and Theo Sheppard (5th) with least putts going to Kaine King with 13 putts.

Club Balls to Eric Foster and Trevor Simpson.

Congratulations to all.

Next event is a Stableford event sponsored by Inspirations Paints.
