A mixed bag of weather last week saw both the Wednesday Chook Run and the Saturday ladies competition not running.
A glorious cloudless Sunday greeted the men’s event which was a two man Ambrose sponsored by the Maclean Hotel.
The 9-hole event was won by the combination of Lou Guthridge and Tom Mammen on a c/b from Arnold Boon and Tom Mammen.
Tom was the swingman between the teams. Both teams finished on (nett 33).
The 18-hole event was taken out by the team of Trevor Simpson and Arthur King (nett 67.25) from father and son team Ron and Ryan Hubbard (nett 69.5)
Nearest the pin went to Trevor Simpson (4th) and Arnold Boon (5th) with least putts going to the Max Withnell/Peter Starr combination with 13 putts.
Club balls also to Max Withnell/Peter Starr and to James Welsh/Theo Sheppard.
