Men’s Fours Championship

The final of the men’s Fours was played on the weekend in favourable conditions; they saw an upset of our first Championship of the year. The fancied favourites of P. Wrice, B. Lancaster, C. Newstead and E. Boyter were defeated by J. Mitchell & B. Stewart, G. Blaxter and J. Ditton to win the final 21-10…stunning the crowd. A special mention to Brian Stewart, for playing and winning his first final, and being a relatively new bowler, held his nerve and played some great shots. Congratulations to the winning side.
