Harwood Sugar Mill former workers reunion

As Harwood Sugar Mill prepares to celebrate its milestone 150th anniversary later this month, former employees are being invited to attend a mill workers reunion at the Harwood Hall from 10am on Wednesday, August 21.

Organiser Tony Marshall, who worked at the mill for 24 years as a fitter, shift engineer, leading hand (mechanical), and shift supervisor, told the Clarence Valley Independent the gathering will be a great opportunity to bring people back together again for a day of reminiscing and celebrating.

During the reunion, an historic collection of photos and memorabilia highlighting the significance of the sugar industry within the Clarence Valley will be on display at the Harwood Hall.

Tea, coffee, and catering will be provided.
