Guest speakers: Bob McFarlane, local representative of Legacy Australia, spoke about the torch relay from France, London, and around Australia, to celebrate 100 years of Legacy. The torch will be in Grafton, Monday June 26, from 10am to 12.30pm.
Garry Reardon, of Fire & Rescue, spoke about the role of the group, including building fires, accident rescues, smoke alarms. Garry mentioned matters which could be of concern, like wood heaters, charging batteries, power boards, extension cords, electric blankets. He also talked about fire extinguishers & fire blankets.
Correspondence: In – letter from arthritis group about seminar; club grants; buzz honeybees. Out – get well & sympathy cards.

Day trip tickets to a mystery venue on Friday June 23 have gone on sale, and seats are still available.
Our 8-day tour to Narrabri, Dubbo, Tamworth areas from August 12, urgently needs more bookings, with numbers struggling, June or August could be final trip.
General business: name of handyman available from Brian; morning tea now available on meeting days.
Soup day: 10am on June 19, cost of $10. Morning tea, talk on bees, soup lunch, games / trivia. For catering, bookings close June 13.
