Last Saturday night, the Crown Hotel, one our club sponsors, hosted our Christmas party.

It was an evening of fine food and merriment, with both smiles and groans as the most sought-after gifts in Thieving Santa were snatched away. Tales of the past year, of the regattas we’ve attended, or the use of the sand anchor in training, brought both laughter and moans.

The sound of voices wafted through the hotel as Judy Keeley, Gillian Goddard, Robyn Nixon and Lisa White led the paddlers in popular Christmas songs with Robyn and Lisa accompanying them on the guitar and the ukulele.

We would like to thank our coaches Tracey Starr, Judy Keeley, Robert Warwick and Marianne Ross, as well as the other members of the committee, for their tireless efforts throughout the year. It’s because of their hard work, that we continue to strengthen as individuals and as a club.
