Ferry Park Gallery Artist of the Month is Gloria Lee, featuring her machine embroidered household items.
Gloria describes her work, “I have always had an interest in sewing, having make most of my children’s clothing in their younger years. About 17 years ago I decided to purchase an embroidery machine to “pretty up” my towels and clothing. It did not take long to realise that I would need to sell some of my work if I wanted to keep sewing. I began by doing Markets every weekend, but after 3 and a half years I was accepted as an exhibitor at Ferry Park Gallery where my Australiana items are a great hit. My work is also available at the Maclean Scottish Town Shop where visitors and looking for that little bit of Scotland.”
Gloria has a large variety of items available in her Artist of the Month display at Ferry Park Gallery. Items include the regular towels and washer sets (both baby & adult), tea towels, kitchen towels, golf & bowls towels, serviettes, bookmarks and pillowcases. Some sets also have soaps and lotions These are very practical household items that also make great gifts. Custom orders are welcome.
Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association Inc (LCACA) is a Not-for-Profit community organisation promoting and showcasing artisans of the Clarence Valley. LCACA opened Ferry Park Gallery in 1993 for members to display and sell their work.
LCACA welcome new members to join us as an exhibitor or volunteer to work in our gallery. Ferry Park Gallery is on Big River Way, and easily accessed from the Maclean Interchange on the Pacific Motorway.
