Clarence River U3A Shed looking forward to welcoming more members in 2024

Members of the Clarence River U3A Shed have welcomed 2024 by commencing a number of new projects for both themselves and to earn the ever-needed revenue for the shed.

From new potting tables for the Lower Clarence Landcare Group to model trucks and cutting boards and all things in between, there are also several restoration projects underway including the refurbishment of a very old blacksmiths forge and associated gear, and the repair of some old furniture.

The list is endless for what can be achieved by the men and women at the Clarence River U3A Shed on a weekly basis.

They are always looking forward to greeting new members, and anyone who is interested in doing something with their spare time while enjoying some social interaction will always be welcome.

The Clarence River U3A Shed has in the past refinished furniture, made chess boards, model trucks and cars, and fixed old trailers to name a few.

Clarence Valley residents are welcome to come on in and have a look at the ongoing projects.

The Clarence River U3A Shed meet every Tuesday and Thursday and the Ladies meet every Friday at the shed in Jubilee Street, Townsend, from 8am – 4pm.

There are other interests of lead lighting and hebel sculpturing available also on other days.

Anyone interested in joining is welcome to contact Allan Woods on 0427 746 482 for further information.
