In 2022, The Gallery Foundation in collaboration with Grafton Regional Gallery commissioned a Sculptural Bench Seat by an artist from the Northern Rivers/Coffs Coast via public call out. After receiving an incredible number of submissions, we are excited to announce the artist and the artwork at the celebration.

Greg Schiffer will provide music while Rubony’s Café will present a tasty selection of nibbles. Fine wines, cool Coopers beers and refreshing soft drinks will be available at our pay bar.

This newest commission is just one of many gifts made by The Gallery Foundation since being founded in 2005. The Foundation has donated over $240,000 towards the gallery including $45,000 for writing the grant applications for the $7.6 million redevelopment in 2020, $100,000 towards this rebuild as a community contribution and over $55,000 in artworks for the gallery collection.

This latest gift reflects the Foundation’s new focus which is purchasing local artwork for the Grafton Regional Gallery Collection through donations, sponsorships, beneficiaries and fundraising events.

The Gallery Foundation is an independent organisation established in 2005 to support the Grafton Regional Gallery. The Foundation values the vital role the Gallery plays in the cultural, social, and educational life of the Clarence Valley.

As a volunteer run not for profit organisation, The Gallery Foundation actively advocates for donations from individuals and groups. Find more information on our website thegalleryfoundation.com.au
