Byron Writers Festival 2021 returns as a live event in Byron Bay, 6-8 August 2021
Let’s gather together again!
Byron Writers Festival will return as a live event on 6-8 August 2021, at Elements of By-ron in Byron Bay. The full program will be announced and all tickets will go on-sale on 23 June 2021.
“We are thrilled to announce we will be proceeding with the annual Festival this year after reluctantly having to cancel last year’s event,” said Festival Director, Edwina Johnson.
“Byron Writers Festival 2021 will present more than 100 of Australia’s most inspiring writers, thinkers and storytellers across Festival week, including numerous satellite events throughout the region. We cannot wait to gather again as a community to cele-brate Australian stories and writers. We hope you will join us.”
“Of course, it won’t entirely be business-as-usual: the safety and well-being of our guests and artists is a priority and to ensure a Covid-safe event we will be following all prevailing NSW Health advice intended to keep our audience safe.”
The Festival will be following guidelines around social distancing and capacity regula-tions, and to help manage this, the decision has been made to only sell 1-Day Passes this year (no 3-Day Passes). This means no Early Bird release, but as usual, Byron Writ-ers Festival members will receive a discount on full-priced tickets. (Discover how to be-come a Member here.)
At this stage, Byron Writers Festival sessions will not be live streamed. However, many sessions will be available after the event via ABC Radio National broadcasts and as podcasts through Byron Writers Festival.
