Ed,
I would like to offer an observation for comment and perhaps motivation for a new health action.
Mo-vember is ‘Change the face of Men’s Health’, maybe this could be a step toward change.
Prostate cancer can be detected with a blood test.
G.P.’s are the only ones who (at this time) can refer/prescribe for that test. Why?
I phoned Maclean Community Health (15/11/24) and there is NO dedicated men’s health educator/community nurse.
How do we get one?
Much like Breastscreen and Bowlscan, could we benefit from ‘Grand-gland’ or ‘Gland I did’ and have a dedicated blood referral for this incredibly important test.
Let’s see and be part of that change.
