Picture: An insight into the Brigadoon Wing at Mareeba Aged Care

Mareeba introduces aged care ‘house-model’ to region

Mareeba Aged Care is proudly unveiling its newly refurbished Brigadoon Wing to the community on November 13 from 10am with a morning tea and tour in Maclean.
The refurbished Brigadoon Wing, which has been expertly managed by Woollam Constructions, will be the first of its kind to the Maclean region offering Residents the ‘house-model’ of residential aged care.

“This model promotes a wonderful sense of community and personal connection,” said Mareeba Aged Care Executive Manager, Pattie Iredale.

“It enhances our already high levels of quality living by continuing our close relationships between Residents and our highly trained and stable workforce but in a more relaxed atmosphere.”

Mareeba Aged Cares ‘house-model’ features eight individual suites, community living and dining spaces, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

Mareeba Aged Care and Woollam Constructions are delighted to welcome our wonderful community to the grand unveiling of the Brigadoon Wing on November 13 from 10am.
