Due to the announcement (Tuesday October 26) regarding Byron Bay having their short-term rentals being capped at 60 days to allow for long term housing becoming a necessity from September 2024, more visitors are going to be looking for alternate venues for their holiday accommodation in the near future, and Yamba will be directly on their radar.

Would it not be prudent of CVC to immediately start work on providing an alternate route to Yamba Road, and making sure there is sufficient water and sewerage, enough internet/telephone access, particularly during holiday times. This is almost non-existent and would be extremely important should there be bushfires or flood; this would be an imperative service. 

Please CVC stop dilly dallying and get started NOW!
