Cats and kittens for adoption this week:

We get all cats vet checked prior to adoption to make sure that we comply to the standards required by any pet shop. We have adopted out well over 1200 cats over the last 12 years and only a very very small percentage having developed any illness as a result of the change in environment but now we are being extremely careful. All our animals are microchipped, immunised and desexed as soon as possible after they arrive. Our Rehoming number is 251000043.

Noelene’s Story: In beginning of September 2017 a beautiful cat called Noelene was bought in as her owner had abandoned her when they moved. New people moved in with a dog and were afraid for her. She is a very beautiful loving friendly young female slightly underweight. We suspected she might be pregnant and turned out to be. On October 2nd she gave birth to six beautiful kittens. We were feeding her special mother and baby kitten food giving extra supplements to help her but the babies took so much out of her that she had to go into hospital on a drip for a few days so that her body could recover. On her return she was welcomed by her babies and recovered nicely. The babies, now young cats are ready to be rehomed as all have been desexed microchipped and immunised including Noelene. Noelene has a very quiet loving nature and needs a quiet home to spend the rest of her life. She also has a flea allergy so needs to ensure she has very regular flea treatments. She is very affectionate beautiful cat with a wonderful nature and would make someone an exceptional companion – 991001000624540.

Carlos is a member of the C-team who were rescued in Maclean by a foster carer over a number of days at the end of October 2016, Mum named Cara by the foster carer’s son was found in a garage as the owner was packing to move out. She had a small dog and she worried whether he might have a go at Cara and her family of very young kittens. Carlos has unusual markings almost as he has some Turkish Van in him; he is also slender like an oriental. They are affectionate and love being stroked but not so keen about being carried around. They are desexed, immunised, regularly treated for parasites and chipped. They are now ready for their new homes -991003000002541.

Kinki and her litter of five kittens came to us early in 2017. She was found on a vacant property with no form of identification and no one knew where she came from so we called her Kinki as she had a kink in her tail and some of her offspring do too. Kinki and her family were in foster care for some time while we were waiting for the new kitten House to be completed. They are a very lovely family very affectionate gentle loving playful young cats including their Mum, Kinki, who have all been desexed vaccinated and micro-chipped ready for their new homes – 991003000002513.

All our animals are microchipped, immunised and desexed as soon as possible after they arrive. All dogs are also tested to make sure that they do not have heart worm. We have rescued and adopted out well over 1300 dogs over the last 12 years. Our Rehoming number is 251000043.

My name is Little Miss, but they call me Missy. I came here because my owner’s marriage had broken up and he works really long hours. I miss him when he is at work so sometimes I howl. I am an older husky cross and enjoy being with people and other dogs. I am a lovely active affectionate dog. I just want to please my human and would make someone a good companion. My name is Lucy and I came here with five other greyhounds who were surrendered by their trainer because he could not care for us anymore. We have learnt to play and not take life so seriously any more. We love to zoom and can be mischievous at times. We love going for walks as long as it is not too far and playing with our toys. We are inquisitive putting our long noses into places we should not as we love learning new things. We can be very lazy and just want to sleep in the sun or to be lounge lizards when we can. We make excellent companions as we loved to be stroked. I love it when my carer comes to sit with me and I just put my head in her lap. My name is Storm, my mum was a lab kelpie cross. We came to Happy Paws as our mum’s owner could not keep us anymore. We love playing with the other pups here and I love lots of cuddles too. I am here with my sister Sootie. I would love some kids to play with and a family to be with. I sleep at night inside in my own crate now which gives me plenty of room to stretch out in.
