We must apologise for having to cancel the July Jabberfest at the last minute due to the Covid problems and can only hope that the August Jabberfest meeting will proceed on Monday 9 without any further disruptions. Check the website for any notification of any last minute cancellation.

The August meeting will be the Annual General Meeting, with the presentation of reports and the election of office bearers and committee  members for the year 2021-2022.

The meeting will open with the AGM followed by another of Kevin Dixon’s heads and tails quiz with the subject matter revolving around our knowledge of winter.

Following morning tea our guest speakers will be Angela and Greg Crompton, their subject being ‘unusual musical instruments’.

With regard to the election of officers and committee members, the existing members are all available for re election, plus there is still one more nomination needed to fill the available numbers. Nominations can be made prior to the election being conducted and should there be still a vacancy, the elected committee would have the right to co opt a member subsequently.

We look forward to a great roll up, all being well, at 10am at the New Life Church in Arthur Street.
