Grafton VIEW Club celebrates 57th birthday

Grafton VIEW Club celebrated its 57th birthday on Friday November 1, at the Grafton District Services Club. The upstairs room was transformed with the party theme of a “Secret Garden.”

Many thanks to Birdcage for selling tickets. Guests enjoyed a tasty lunch in the garden setting, including yummy sweets, an impressive birthday cake, and great entertainment from the ‘Good Vibes Choir’. Much fun was had with many lucky door prizes, raffle and tombola prizes, and an interesting trading table full of goodies.

VIEW National President, Elizabeth Birch presented the 40 years membership badges to members; then two new membership badges.  Then the lovely birthday cake was cut. The Jacaranda Party arrived in time to greet everyone and enjoy the Good Vibes Choir from the Grafton Conservatorium. The choir performed very professionally in perfect harmony, and was enjoyed by all.

Have you ever wondered how you could help disadvantaged children? Well, here is your answer! All you need to do is come along to enjoy friendship, share a meal, and be entertained by a motivated guest speaker. VIEW also has a mid-month outing, usually for a coffee and catch up. This is such an easy way to help children to a better education. Now, Grafton VIEW Club is sponsoring 3 children in the Learning for Life Program.

You are invited to join us; we are always looking for new members. Grafton VIEW Club meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Grafton District services Club, Mary Street, Grafton, commencing at 10.30am. All are welcome to come along, and bring your friends. This way, you will support disadvantaged children throughout their entire education. For catering purposes, or for further information, please phone Helen Smith (Secretary) at 6642 3867. See you there!
