Clarence Valley residents are invited to attend a Koala Community Information Day this weekend.
Hosted by the Clarence Valley Koala Working Group (CVKWG), the event will be held at the Southampton RFS Station, located on the corner of Eatonsville Road and Rogans Bridge Road at Waterview Heights, from 12.30pm on November 19.
Kids are welcome to attend, and there will also be a sausage sizzle to raise funds for the Southampton RFS brigade.
Guest speakers on the day will include Vickii Lett from WIRES, Brendan Taylor from the NSW Government, and Mick Webb from Envite.
Topics to be discussed include koala welfare and rescue, statewide conservation of the species, and koala habitat restoration.
The event will also include a Q&A segment.
Limited seating will be available, and attendees are kindly asked to bring their own chairs.
