Changed traffic conditions at McFarlane Bridge, Maclean
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week at Maclean to carry out essential maintenance on the McFarlane Bridge.
Starting Tuesday 13 June, work will be carried out weekdays from 7am to 6pm and Sundays from 8am to 4pm, with work expected to be complete in about two weeks, weather permitting. No work will be carried out on Saturdays.
Single lane alternating traffic flows and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and road users during work hours.
Three bridge closures will be required during the work, with detours in place. These will add about 35 minutes to journey times. Motorists are advised to use the South Arm School Road crossing at Brushgrove as an alternative route.
Bridge closure dates and times are:
• 8am to 4pm, Sunday 18 June. Closure expected to be for eight hours
• 9.30am to 2.30pm, Wednesday 21 June. Closure expected to be five hours
• 8am to 4pm Sunday, Sunday 25 June. Closure expected to be eight hours.
* Times may be subject to change due to site and weather conditions.
Additional intermittent stoppages and changed traffic conditions will be required outside of morning and afternoon peaks times, resulting in delays of up to 15 minutes.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
