Zoe Snape: Junior Sportsperson of the Month for July

15-year-old Zoe Snape is a Year 9 student at Maclean High School.

She trains under Maclean Manta Rays Swimming Club coach and former Olympian Ruth Everuss six days a week over summer and has reached the NSW CHS Swimming Championships the past three years.

Her 50m freestyle PB is 29.89 seconds.

Zoe competes in triathlon for the Clarence Valley Triathlon Club and won the 14-15 girls’ category at the Byron Bay Triathlon.

She was named Triathlon NSW 21/22 Sprint State Champion, 1st female and 3rd overall in the Enticer event of the Trial Bay Triathlon, 1st in 14 girls and 2nd female overall at the Yamba Triathlon, and 2nd in 14-15 girls at the Kingy Triathlon.

Zoe also plays Division One in Lower Clarence Netball and was part of the 15yrs representative side who finished runners up at Netball NSW Division 4.

She also completed the Tour de Brisbane 50km Cycle ride with her dad and raised $1060 for The Common Good.
