Young rowers perform well

It was hard and fast racing for the Lower Clarence rowers at the Lismore Regatta held last month at Coraki on a short 500m course. Kirilly Maxwell and Elissa Metcalfe started the day off by coming 3rd their respective Novice single scull races and in the Mens Novice single Logan Bolton was 2nd in his division with Lachlan Maxwell 2nd and Enoch Burke 3rd in their division. In the WU15/16 single Clara Samms was 2nd and Stephanie Hutton 3rd in their respective divisions. Samms and Hutton then won the WU 15/16 double scull with Maxwell and Metcalfe 3rd. The four girls teamed up to finish 2nd in the WU 15/16 quad. Logan Bolton came 2nd in the MU15/16 single division 1 with Maxwell 2nd and Kayleb Anderson 3rd in Division 2. Burke 2nd and Declan Hickey 3rd in div 3. In the doubles Maxwell and Burke came 2nd with Anderson and Hickey 3rd. Grace Bolton won her division of the WU17 single with Georgie Dobbin 3rd. Clarissa Cannon finished 2nd in her division. Bolton and Crystal Piper won the WU17 double with Amie Inmon and Dobbin 3rd. The crew of Piper, Dobbin, Sophie Lindner and Eryn Hammond can 2nd in the WU17 quad. Sebastien Klein came 2nd in his division of MU17 single with Luke Plummer 3rd. Mitchell Johns was 3rd in his race. Plummer and Klein took out the MU17 double with Johns and Kyle Trevithick 2nd and Jesse Corbett and Logan Bolton 3rd. The crew of Klein, Bolton, Maxwell and Fletcher Sumner won the MU17 quad. Kylie Duff came 2nd in the WO single scull and also won the WO double with Gemma Dane while Piper and Bolton came 3rd. The WO quad was won by Duff, Dane, Candice Jagoe and Keryn Saunders. W hcp single div 2 was won by Dobbin with Lindner 2nd . Inmon also came 2nd in her division. Dane and Jagoe came 2nd in the W hcp double. Klein and Plummer won their division in the M hcp double with Johns and Sumner 2nd. The Mixed quad scull was won by Jason Townsend, David Hailes, Mandy Steel and Clare Millist. Hailes was 2nd in his division of the Mens Master single scull while Townsend was 3rd in his race. They both joined forces to finish 3rd in their double scull. In the Womens Masters both Saunders and Jagoe won their division of the single scull. A clean sweep in the doubles with Saunders and Millist winning one division while Steel and Joanne Meehan won the other division. The girls combined to finish 3rd in the quad. Millist, Meehan and Steel (cox) joined Murwillumbah rowers to win the WM hcp four. Clare Millist
