Yamba Yabbies Toastmasters
Toastmaster Annie chose ‘A splash of colour’ as her theme for our meeting held Monday May 16.
Annie gave lots of meanings of all different colours throughout the night which was so interesting. Maureen was Table Topics Master and carried the theme in all questions to the speakers, Michael, Raelene, Noel, Joy and Jan C who were evaluated by the two Jans. Pam as Meeting Listener made a few coins and Jeanette was very busy with two roles, Timer and Evaluator for Ilma in the Speech Segment with her speech titled ‘You are smarter than you think’. Our other speaker was Jan C who gave a “roast” of Pam titled ‘Darling’ and Noel gave a great evaluation. Grammarian Joy gave ‘psychedelic’ as word of the night. Michael began the Fortunately – Unfortunately segment which was fun and the round robin was challenging, as each member had to recall what all previously speakers were taking on holiday and their colours.
At the break, Annie, Joy and Michael celebrated with a yummy slice provided by Jan C for their birthdays. Thank you Jan.
