Can’t complain about the weather for bowls of late – lovely autumn sunshine makes for comfortable bowling conditions. And on Tuesday mixed bowls, it was J. Gryl, C. Ritale who took home the Bowlo Bucks after defeating J. Coulter, I. Parker; D. Backshall, D. Atkinson d B. Backshall, H. Atkinson in a real family affair G. Johnson, M. Parker d K. Mason, M. Gryl.
Thursday April 6
Carol Ritale lined up for her second Bowlo Bucks win for the week teamed up with L. McLean, M. Abbott to defeat G, Freeman, S. Lindsay, M. Jenner with a very close 1 shot win. The other rink for the day saw B. Backshall, V. Beddow, C. Cole d B. Backshall, J. Abbott, H. Atkinson.
Many thanks to Debbie May Flowers for again providing us with a lovely bunch of flowers to raffle each week. Debbie May has been a loyal sponsor for many years and we so enjoy the lovely arrangements she generously donates. Thanks again Debbie May.
And heartfelt thanks again to our Julie Coulter who with the aid of daughter Lucy concocted lovely chocolate gifts for all those attending Tuesday bowls.
A busy week this week at Yamba Bowlo as we host the Women’s District Singles – commencing Tuesday April 11. Hoping the lovely weather holds for this event and good luck and good bowling to all contenders.
Don’t forget the Pennant Appreciation lunch on Sunday April 16– a free lunch for all the Pennant players of the season and on the same day the final of the Women’s and Men’s Minor Singles – and all this followed next day April 17 – the first of the Monthly Monday pairs competition which includes a BBQ lunch.
