Yamba Tramps golf

Sunday October 17

A good number of Tramps, old and new played the front nine in fantastic conditions, with the course in great nick.

Pete Berger’s expertise in all areas of grass management emerged as he won the day in a three-way countback, just edging out the other “Umbilical Brother” Tony Berger in the runner up spot. New player to the club, Geoff Dickie negotiated the traffic beautifully with an outstanding approach to lock the Tramps Trophy on his radar and ward off all other contenders.

NTP’s: 3rd – Bruce Douglass, 9th – Tony Berger. Despite Tony Berger thinking he was a hot contender for the raffle, it was John Hackett who had the win and felt it was a form of compensation for not winning the Tramps Trophy…..again.

The Tramps have been fortunate to welcome John Hackett, Peter Hope and Geoff Dickie as new members in recent weeks and will welcome any new players wanting to take a light hearted approach to golf, amongst a diverse and casual group of golfers for a Sunday morning round.
